Continue reading »]]> The other day, my parents’ kitchen faucet sprung a leak.  There was water EVERYWHERE under the sink.  It was like my parents’ faucet decided to simply break down one day and make a mess.

The solution looked simple: change a hose, tighten a valve, and life is back to normal.  It’s a job that I could have done myself.

But instead, I convinced my dad to hire a professional plumber to take a look at it and fix it.

I’m glad that I did; the plumber identified multiple points of failure, including an eroded seal that I would have missed and would have caused an even bigger leak down the road.

Continue reading »]]> Well, that was awkward.

Had some recent problems with spam and some other web-related stuff, which required me to lose a significant chunk of the blog and the website, but I managed to get almost everything back online.  Unfortunately, a lot of the meaty posts in the blog were lost, but oh well: that’s life.

Consider this a fresh start with the blog, and to inspire me to start on the redesign for the website itself.  I’ll admit that it’s starting to get stale, so hopefully this will serve as a motivating force to get moving on a rebuild.
