Celebrating their anniversary today is Jen & Mark, happily married in 2007 at the Luana Hills Country Club in Kailua!
Jen & Mark first saw me at their friends Joslyn & Fred’s wedding the year before. They had such a great time that they brought us in for their wedding celebration. With a lot of the same guests attending her reception, you would think that it would look just like Joslyn & Fred’s wedding.
Absolutely not!
We crafted a very personal and original celebration for Jen & Mark, but still just as fun and engaging as it was for Joslyn & Fred’s wedding!
- For the Grand Entrance, we did a modified variation of our Sports Jam Grand Entrance to incorporate Jen & Mark’s love of sports.
- During dinner, we personalised the table release with a trivia game based on Jen & Mark’s favourite universities and colleges.
- Instead of tapping the glasses to get the newlyweds to kiss, guests were challenged to participate in a game of Tippy Cup, a college drinking game that Jen & Mark played while in school and apparently became masters of it!
- Instead of the traditional bouquet toss, Jen & Mark had an Anniversary Dance, which involved all of the guests, honoured the married guests, and ultimately presented the bouquet to Jen’s uncle Richard & aunt Nancy, the longest married couple at 46 years!
- We incorporated their love of crosswords and board games through various challenges throughout the night.
It was indeed a unique, very personal, and definitely unforgettable presentation.
Happy Anniversary to Jen & Mark! Thanks for letting me be the Master of Ceremonies & DJ for your Hawaii wedding in Kailua!
